Does the Fulfillment Fund only serve students
in Los Angeles?
Currently the Fulfillment Fund focuses efforts in Los Angeles. However, because we have designed our program
to be both effective and replicable, we are exploring invitations
to expand services to other communities throughout the country.
How does the Fulfillment Fund identify its students?
The Fulfillment Fund works closely with the school district and school staff in target high schools in Los Angeles to identify groups of 300-500 students each who would benefit from partnering with us.
Does the Fulfillment Fund work with the Los Angeles
Unified School District?
The Fulfillment Fund has an established partnership and works closely
with the Los Angeles Unified School District to ensure that programs
are effectively targeting students and achieving our goals to boost
graduation rates. We partner with staff at the district, school
and classroom level to maximize our efforts as well as work towards
systemic change.
How effective is the Fulfillment Fund?
In some schools the Fulfillment Fund targets, the graduation rate
hovers below 40%. Yet Fulfillment Fund students graduate both high school and college at a significantly higher rate than their peers.

What is the Fulfillment Fund's annual budget?
The Fulfillment Fund's annual budget varies slightly from year to
year but
is in the range of $6 million.
How does the Fulfillment Fund raise money?
The Fulfillment Fund raises money through a diversified funding
strategy that includes major gifts, individual and corporate donations
and sponsorships/underwriting, foundation support, and fundraising events
such as STARS and Summer Nights. This diversified strategy allows
us to weather fluctuations in the financial climate.
Can I enroll myself, my child or my friend in
Fulfillment Fund programs?
Currently, students are only admitted to Fulfillment Fund programs
if they are part of the small learning communities identified in the schools listed above. There is a tremendous
need for our services and we are unable to accommodate individuals
outside of our target schools. As our support grows, we will continue
to expand our scope of services.
